After spending 25 years designing interiors and furniture for large corporations I turned to metal-smithing and jewelry, studying jewelry design and fabrication with many master metalsmiths.
Playing on positive & negative spaces and geometry, I am inspired by my architectural background. Most of my pieces incorporate triangles, the simplest and purest of geometric forms, often thought to symbolize creation. In turning from interiors to adorning the body, I have found my passion at the jeweler's bench.
Typically using sterling silver, I hand fabricate each piece. I use the lost wax method of casting to duplicate some of my pieces. For some pieces, I use the ancient Korean method of Keum Boo to fuse gold onto silver.
